One of the many highlights of our recent Caribbean cruise was a visit to Labadee. From the moment we stepped off the ship we were in a tropical paradise. A motorised catamaran sped us to our own private cove, where we swam in the crystal clear jade-water, sunk our feet into the demerara sugar-soft sand and relaxed in the sunshine with a rum punch.
After an incredible barbecue lunch we were lulled to sleep under the palm trees by the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was utterly blissful, and an important reminder that sometimes it’s good to just chill out and take it easy.
