As you know here on The Mum Blog I only ever write about products I believe in, and I only ever offer competitions for products I believe mums (or dads) will love.
I don’t usually write about baby products because we are way, way past the feeding stage in our house, but I absolutely love the TOMY mOmma range.
So here’s your chance to win a set of products, including a Developmental Meal Set (I really wish this had been around when No 1 Son was little), bib and egg maker.
There are two ways to enter.
1. You can tweet ‘I want to win with The Mum Blog’ with a link to this post and @LizJarvisUK.
2. And you can leave your favourite recipe for little ones below. So, two chances to enter (and win).
Closing date is next Thursday (the 12th).
Good luck!

We went the Baby Led Weaning way and our baby daughter eats everything we do. Of course, we make sure we eat healthily. It is the best thing I have done for her (after breastfeeding!).

My favourite recipe is without measure but I make it this way:
Lentil bolognaise:
Approx 250gms red lentils washed well in cold water and then left to boil for 15 minutes. Add to this 1 chopped onion, 1 tin of tomatoes and grate in about 10 carrots adding a little vegetable stock if needed.
Serve with spaghetti…. my children all love this one.

For a simple and easy recpie for whe you first start weaning, peel, cube and then boil some sweet potato and butternut squash. Once soft add a knob of butter and mash (or puree).
This is absolutley delicious for adullts too and can make a nice change from Mashed potato. If giving to adults a nice adaptation is to add a sprinkle of sage for added flavour…..Mmmmmm

My favourite recipe for weaning is more of a top tip. Because of the small quantities you need I always found that bags of frozen veg meant that you have a lot less waste than using fresh veg! A great recipe is 1/2 a bag of frozen mixed veg cooked with a 1/4 teaspoon of mild curry powder, then puree with a little of the cooking water to a smooth consistency – my two both loved this!
