Win a Little Helper Fun Pod

April 20, 2012

I am SUCH a fan of the Little Helper FunPod®, that quite simply brilliant invention which enables toddlers to get involved in the kitchen and engage with you while you’re cooking from their own safely constructed platform.  Six years old and with more than 10 awards to its name, it has received praise from childcare and health professionals alike. Not only does it keep kids safe while you’re cooking, it’s also a fab way to encourage them to take a healthy interest in cooking and food.

Available in six different colours (so you can pick your child’s favourite, or coordinate with your kitchen), it retails from £112.99. It has five height settings, an anti-tip base and lockable footplate and of course, confirms to all European safety regulations

But I’m giving you the chance to WIN one in this fab competition.

For your chance to win a FunPod®, answer the following question by the closing date (next Friday). Usual The Mum Blog competition rules apply.

Q: Tell me which colour you’d choose if you won the FunPod®.

  • Andrena Harrison April 26, 2012 at 9:42 pm

It would have to be black if I could choose. Athough Ive wanted one of these for so long I would be happy if it was bright pink, with green stripes and yellow spots!

  • Alison April 26, 2012 at 9:21 pm

I would choose maple. They sound like a brilliant product

  • CHARLOTTE MANNING April 26, 2012 at 8:51 pm

  • Kelly Hooper April 26, 2012 at 8:38 pm

I think it would have to be the red one as my little girl loves bright colours.

What a fab idea, Little Miss is constantly asking me if she can help me make dinner/bake/make a foody mess but I worry about her standing on a chair so have to say no 🙁 This would stop alot of disappointed faces and running off with her arm over her eyes

  • Lesley Bain April 26, 2012 at 7:37 pm

What a fantastic idea! I’d love a red one 🙂

  • Rachel Blackburn April 26, 2012 at 7:12 pm

This is such an amazing and innovative product.
I’d choose the walnut effect one!

I’d love to win the maple with natural edging FunPod.

  • jonny knowles April 26, 2012 at 3:44 pm

Personally I’d probably opt red but suspect my wife would say that we weren’t a red kitchen sort of family so would HAVE to opt for the less racy but equally chic buttermilk. My little girl would love this!

  • Maria Knight April 26, 2012 at 3:34 pm

I would choose the red as its bright, fun and would catch the eye of my yummy mummy friends!!! 😉

Black one please as probably easiest to keep clean

  • Emma Andersson April 25, 2012 at 9:02 pm

I think Will would like the red or black best, but they are all lovely. He’s really starting to get into baking and at the moment we have to transport all our ingredients to the living room table so he can mix to his hearts content, leading to a very floury sofa…..!

  • Lorna Allan April 25, 2012 at 3:32 pm

What a clever idea!! If I was lucky enough to win then I would choose the Maple one, my kids are always trying to help in the kitchen and having one of these would make life so much easier!

  • Charlotte April 25, 2012 at 2:35 pm

They look amazing! my daughter is 2 and loves helping me bake – we have to put down a large board on the floor and cook on the floor as she can’t reach the surfaces!

I’d love the black one 🙂

  • Carla Morris April 24, 2012 at 11:40 am

I would choose the brightest one that would stand out and make Oliver want to come and interact with me…cooking is such an important part of learning..different foods, tastes and the more he is encouraged the better for me 🙂

  • Paul Green April 23, 2012 at 12:17 pm

    the maple colour

  • Ines Mateus April 23, 2012 at 11:44 am

I would definitely choose the red as it’s fun and vibrant, just like my little one!

My daughter would love this as she’s always in the kitchen, trying to help!

  • Michelle C April 23, 2012 at 11:42 am

Oh these look fab! I’d love the natural wood colour, I think it would look perfect in any kitchen! Thanks for the comp!! xx

  • Hilda hazel Wright April 23, 2012 at 11:31 am

I’d choose maple if I were lucky enough to win. What a great idea! Much safer than the old trick of standing on the kitchen chair!

  • Kelly-Marie Dudley April 23, 2012 at 11:06 am

I asked my daughter, and she promptly replied ‘red, because it’s almost pink’.

    The empress has spoken!

  • Lisa Collins April 23, 2012 at 10:57 am

I’d choose the Red FunPod because it fits in with the colour of our kitchen nicely and it’s nice and bright!

  • Melanie Hunt April 23, 2012 at 10:52 am

I would love a red one. these are such a fab idea. we use a set of steps for harri but i have to stand behind him constantly and get him down when i need to move away. this would make fairy cake making so much easyer

  • kirstine meredith April 23, 2012 at 10:45 am

I have wanted one of these for a while but like many could not afford to purchase! It would be red for me one of my fave colours 🙂 Good Luck all 🙂

  • Mummy Fever April 23, 2012 at 10:27 am

I’d choose the black one as it looks very smart and would look great in our kitchen @MummyFever

  • sarah April 23, 2012 at 10:20 am

Maple, red or black, or white! I’m either indecisive or not fussy!

  • Diane April 23, 2012 at 10:04 am

I havent seen these before but really like them. I would have to choose the red one I think

  • Barbara Shaw April 23, 2012 at 9:59 am

Amazing!!! looks like a safe way to let little ones get involved – if I were lucky enough to win I would be happy with any colour – though the red looks really good. Thanks for the entry.

I would choose the Maple one, because it matches my kitchen.

  • Paula April 22, 2012 at 11:16 pm

I’d choose red because its my son’s favourite colour. I would love to get him one of these, we make cupcakes a few times a week and this would make life so much easier as he could reach the worktop with ease. He is the next Gordon Ramsey without the swearing so might as well let him enjoy his hobby safely.

  • Carolina J. April 22, 2012 at 11:03 pm

Oh, what a Godsend it would be! I cannot cook as my (tomorrow) 1 year old daughter is into everything and everywhere, so I have to keep a sharp eye on her and drag her away from the dangerous places…..It is incredibly difficult to achieve even the simplest things in the kitchen! I’d love
    Details
Little Helper FunPod – Maple with Natural Edging.

  • Tracy Nixon April 22, 2012 at 10:45 pm

WOW what a great idea!!!!! If I am lucky enough to win, I would choose the red one because it is bright and cheerful and my daughter likes it the best too!

  • Lucy April 22, 2012 at 10:16 pm

I wouldn’t mind any colour – the black seems very stylish. I just loves these little pods. Makes doing things in the kitchen seem a lot safer than standing on the chair.

  • Lisa April 22, 2012 at 9:58 pm

What a great idea. I would love one of these for my daughter who is just around the corner from helping me in the kitchen. I would chose the maple colour.

  • Lucy Haskell April 22, 2012 at 4:43 pm

It would have to be the white one to match our kitchen!

  • Lucy April 22, 2012 at 9:56 am

  • Rachel April 22, 2012 at 9:36 am

I’d have to go for Buttermilk! My little one loves helping in the kitchen so this would be a great way to get her safe 🙂

  • Boo Roo and Tigger Too April 21, 2012 at 9:33 pm

I like the look of the Maple one

    @littleboo_21

  • Jane Willis April 21, 2012 at 4:14 pm

I’d choose a maple one. My granddaughter loves hers and uses it every day, and with another grandbaby on the way we need a second one!

  • Debbie JJ April 20, 2012 at 11:02 pm

I’d go for red to fit in with the kitchen. This looks perfect for our cake making adventures!

  • Teresa Maxwell April 20, 2012 at 8:29 pm

I would love a fun pod in any colour! I think if I had to choose one it would be maple as its quite neutral but still looks stylish.

My youngest daughter Juliette would love one as she’s just coming up to 18mths and wants to be in the kitchen but at the moment I have to put her in a high chair to keep her safe.

Her eldest sister used a little step but Juliette isn’t so cautious or stable so definitely need something to keep her safe! She already likes cooking especially helping her big sister stirring banana cake batter!

What an excellent competition and prize!

  • Lisa April 20, 2012 at 8:11 pm

I don’t mind what colour, though my little boys favourite colour seems to be red at the moment so would probably go for that. He is constantly maneuvering the chair so he can stand next to me in the kitchen. I have to stand with him all the time as he has nearly fallen off a couple of times, though it hasn’t deterred him! He loves helping me to prepare food, helps him eat his veggies. We could do so much more together with one of these. Good luck everyone! 🙂

  • Christie April 20, 2012 at 5:05 pm

I would pick the red one with natural edging or as a close second, the black one! I wouldn’t be that fussy because I’m about functionality rather than style. Plus winning one would be fantastic because I’m a keen amateur baker, learning all the things my mum DIDN’T teach me, so I have something to pass onto my daughter. My daughter is almost 2 and we struggle keeping her up on a chair and baking at the same time, which is a shame because she loves baking – she calls it “Cass Bakey!”

  • Jema April 20, 2012 at 4:43 pm

Have been thinking of this for a while. My 2.5 daughter is very excited to make cakes, cupcakes, waffles. But I get nervous of her standing on a chair.

Would love a natural color one, which might not show finger marks as much?

  • geekmummy April 20, 2012 at 4:40 pm

I’d pick the new walnut – would look lovely in my kitchen 🙂

  • Erica Price April 20, 2012 at 3:05 pm

    Red – very cool look.

  • Elaine Livingstone April 20, 2012 at 1:48 pm

oh I will have the white please, will save Bob having to drag a chair over to stand on. He may be 6 but the size of an average 3 year old so he gets very frustrated at things cos he cant reach.

  • Kylie Hodges April 20, 2012 at 1:10 pm

I would choose the buttermilk, as it would go very nicely in my kitchen, and its nice and neutral.

  • Laura @ Chez Mummy April 20, 2012 at 1:01 pm

I would love one of these! My little girl is forever wanting to help me in the kitchen but we only have high bar stools for her to sit on and I’m always worried she’ll fall off.

I’d choose the red FunPod with natural edging, simply because the colour will match my kettle and toaster (how sad is that?!)

  • Leyla Preston April 20, 2012 at 12:13 pm

I would get my son, Aron, a red FunPod, because he is obsessed with the colour red and it would be the only thing that will keep him away from the dangers in the kitchen when I’m cooking (he has busy fingers!), but he can enjoy being involved in the fun part of preparing dinner with mummy to satisfy his curious mind 🙂

By the way, this product is so damn clever! I’ve been trying to find a way to keep Aron away because our kitchen is open plan so he’s always trying to stick his hands in things. Well done Little Helpers.

  • Mags (Mummy's Space) April 20, 2012 at 10:40 am

I love the look of the FunPod – such a great idea! I would pick the Red with Natural Edging.

This would be so perfect for us right now as Ben is just getting into baking and cooking with me. He would love the freedom it would give him to reach the kitchen counters so easily.

  • Ramblings Of A Suburban Mummy April 20, 2012 at 9:54 am

I’ve wanted one of these for ages and ages, my son loves cooking but I hate him just standing on a chair!

I’d love a black one to match our dining chairs. Fingers so majorly crossed I can’t tell you!

  • Leta April 20, 2012 at 9:53 am

I’d choose the maple one too, would go perfectly with our kitchen. I LOVE these, would be perfect for Lara to help in the kitchen, chairs slip too much on the floor – scary!

  • Kara April 20, 2012 at 9:16 am

I really really really want one of these as I love to bake with the kids but the little one can’t join in at the moment. I’d go for the Buttermilk to match my kitchen!

  • Jo April 20, 2012 at 9:12 am

I’d go for the black one – as we rent matching the kitchen etc doesn’t matter so much as just having something which will mask those grubby fingerprints 🙂

Especially as she’s just starting to show an interest in helping me with the cooking!

  • MumReinvented April 20, 2012 at 9:05 am

I’d have to go for the maple too – what a cool idea!

  • Kelly Wiffin April 20, 2012 at 9:02 am

I would chose the maple colour. These look amazing! Certainly would help when my daughter wants to start helping me cook!

  • Sinead Safford April 20, 2012 at 8:55 am

I would choose a black one as this would match my kitchen perfectly! These look amazing and my little one would be much safer in one of these than standing on a dining chair like we have to at the moment! Fantastic prize! x
