Which superhero did you want to be?

December 8, 2011

I was watching Grey’s Anatomy last night and was surprised to see the Six Million Dollar Man, aka Lee Majors, making a guest appearance (he was playing a 71-year-old man, but still looked fairly bionic).

It reminded me how much my friends and I used to love playing Bionic Woman at primary school, and how much I really wanted to be Jamie Sommers.

Not only was Jamie beautiful, with fabulous hair, but she had amplified hearing, a very strong right arm, and she could run at up to 60 miles an hour. The woman had skills.

So I’d love to know: which superhero did you want to be? Wonder Woman? The Incredible Hulk? Batman? Robin *cough*?

I’d love to know.

I always wanted to be Bat Fink. I loved it. I played Bat Fink (one word or two?) and would be the Superhero who saved the day, with my wings of steel which were actually made of a duvet covered nicked from the washing line…

I wanted to be The Flash, the fastest man alive. Talk to Her Up North and she’d say I’ve accomplished that. 🙂

I’d be Elastigirl cause she’s a family girl at heart.
Or maybe Jean Grey cause she is the ultimate X-(wom)Man

Tricky question that! Superheroes are undoubtedly cool, but most of the male ones are orphans and that always really upset me. That said, I think I still wanted to be Batman – he has no super powers as such which, in my mind, made it more likely that I could emulate him. Of course I could have done!
