Remember the old days (OK, some of you may be too young), when people used to watch ‘slides’ of each other’s holidays? This *actually* happened. People would gather at each other’s homes for cheese and pineapple hedghogs and the grown-ups would drink German wine and then they’d all pretend to be interested in each other’s slide shows. I know, I know. For kids (including me) it was absolute torture, because you were expected to stay awake even when it was just endless shots of the neighbours on the same beach in Spain; but your own family photos, well, they were a different matter. It’s only when you rediscover those slides, years later, that you can see how so many of them captured a part of your life on film, like the photos my beloved dad took of me and my sister.
And now of course we all love taking photos on our phone; some you’ll share on instagram or twitter, but you can’t share ALL your photos (unless you want to drive everyone nuts and lead to them unfollowing you); so some will just stay there, gathering virtual dust (unless you’re the kind of person who actually prints out all their photos and puts them in albums. In which case I haven’t met you yet.)
But the beauty of having a blog, of course, is that you CAN share photos, as often as you like. And as everyone who follows me knows, I love to travel, and I love to take photos on my phone. Recently I showed you some of the photos from our Disney cruise, of Rome, and Monaco, and Florence and Pisa, and Barcelona, and Pompeii. I even showed you my vlog.
These photos, then, are just a small selection of the ‘overs’, if you like, the ones that didn’t have an immediately obvious home. But now, thanks to Tara Lara and this week’s Gallery theme (through the eyes of my phone), well, here they are, in a dynamic little slide show, which I can add to whenever I choose. Enjoy 🙂
What a fab idea! Awesome photos. Totally Jesus you went on a Disney Cruise, they look amazing

Lots of photos of food and drink in there Lizbeth. Just saying 😉
Fabulous photos. I’m one of those people that still prints my pics off and puts them in albums. It’s quite time-consuming, but I still love it!
Looks like a truly amazing trip!
