Yesterday I did something a bit rash. Something not very ‘me’. I bought a gorgeous new pink coat. PINK. I know. I’m a woman who spends most of the winter in black; I love pink but usually I keep it to accessories or the occasional dress. Now I have a whole pink coat – salmon coloured – to accessorise. What’s more it’s a size 12; it may be a fluke, but I prefer to think of it as proof that New Year New Body is working for me.
Pink coats were a big look for A/W 2013; this coat was in the sale at French Connection, but I couldn’t care less if the colour isn’t ‘in’ in a few months time. I’m guessing I can wear it into April, so it’s perfect as a spring coat. I’ll probably wear it next winter too. It’s warm, with lovely deep pockets, and you can wear almost anything with it – black, white, pastels, camels.
But this is not a coat for wearing when I’m taking the dog for a walk. Or anywhere near his muddy paws.
So here is my beautiful, probably impractical new pink coat. I big fluffy heart it.
It’s lovely, you’ll look great in it.
I love it! I hardly ever buy black anymore – since becoming a mum! I often buy pink and have a coat similar to this! Like me, you will stand out in the crowd and cheer people up 🙂 I have also found that people approach me more when I am wearing bright colours! Strange but nice!
