The reason I smell so good

June 25, 2012

One of the things that made me laugh a lot on Friday night was the number of people who told me I smelt lovely. Not that I don’t ALWAYS smell lovely *cough* but they obviously felt strongly enough to comment on it. I thought it was my perfume, but actually, I always wear the same perfume pretty much (Marc by Marc Jacobs, since you ask) so I realised it wasn’t that. Then I remembered. It was my shampoo.

For the past week I’ve been road testing the Neäl & Wølf haircare range, and oh my goodness, not only is the packaging very stylish but it smells DELICIOUS. The fragrance is Lily, Ylang Ylang and Orchid – very exotic, and yummy.

What’s nice it about it as well is that it focuses on hair washing/conditioning very much as a ritual – I really like this idea, because hair care shouldn’t just be a case of washing and going, should it? After all, it is, as my mum would say, your crowing glory. Oh and the science bit is it contains silk protein to make your hair easier to manage, and shea extract to make it shiny. Despite the ‘luxury’ feel, it isn’t  too pricey, either.

So now you know.
