I love this photo of No 1 Son, taken when he was 18 months old, because he’s in his favourite place – Waiting For Mummy To Make Him His Breakfast – and he looks so happy.
Breakfast has always been his favourite meal of the day. This is the boy who once ate so many maple syrup-soaked pancakes at a restaurant in San Francisco – even though I warned him he was going to be sick – that he actually was sick (fortunately he made it to the loo in time).
It didn’t put him off though, and his favourite thing in the world is still pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, although he always has cereal and OJ first. And of course he also loves honey – although with his New Zealand heritage, we usually buy Manuka.
Now of course he’s capable of making breakfast for himself, but if I’m in the house he’ll still wait for me to make it. I don’t mind, really. It’s nice to be able to take care of him still.
*This is my entry for The Gallery – the theme this week is ‘Breakfast’.
He looks like he is waiting very patiently for his breakfast!
Lovely photo- my brother is 20 this year and still goes round my Mum’s if she’s doing ‘special breakfast’ as he calls it!
So cute! x

Aww wasn’t he a little cutie! Love how his bear is there with him. I love honey too x
