South East Asia food feast

November 27, 2012

One of the best things about travel, surely, is experiencing new flavours and local food. So I make no apologies for this post, and I’m sorry if you’re hungry (or thirsty), but we had some extraordinary cuisine on our trip to Vietnam and Singapore. From the gorgeous (and a little too drinkable) Singapore Sling…

…to delectable crab (sooooo good), but the waiter had to cut it up for us #theshame

…and the most bizarre fruit plate (if you can name all of this fruit you are a fruit guru).

Part of the trip was a Silversea cruise, where I had to try the gold leaf risotto (above – the gold leaf is supposed to be good for you, and you hardly notice it as you eat it)…

…and ALOT of lobster…

…plus fabulous desserts (this souffle with white chocolate sauce poured into the middle by the waiter was really wonderful)…

…and bizarrely, in Ho Chi Minh of all places, a stylish cappuccino at the trendiest shopping mall in town.

    Hi Mellissa,

It was curried and served with coriander (which I love) and it was absolutely delicious x

I am glad I’m not the only one that takes photos of food on holidays!
The crab and lobster looks amazing. What sauce is the crab served in?
