Simple pleasures

April 4, 2012

The theme for this week’s Gallery is ‘At Peace’. Well when it comes to chilling out, I like simple pleasures. Starting my working day with a skinny cap, for example, or a bath with monoi oil.

But my absolute favourite way to relax, to get some ‘me time’, is to take the dog out. It feels so good just to switch off for an hour.

I took this photo in January when it snowed – as you can see it was just me and Yoda.

Great shot, it is amazing how and hour of ‘me time’ can make all the difference, for me an hour in the garden getting dirty hands does the trick!

Nothing better than a nice long walk to make you feel better and refreshed. I’ve just swapped my dog for my baby buggy, but still get out as much as possible. Perfect thinking time. Lovely.

What a beautiful photo and even better knowing that it was only you and your dog there. I used to enjoy taking my dog our for the same reason – to blow the cobwebs away and walk off any stress and worries xx

Snowy scenes make me feel at peace too. I love being out in the snow when it’s just turning dark and everywhere is silent.

Oh yes – it shouts peace (if you see what I mean!) Lovely shot and you can hear the silence.

Yes, I feel at peace looking at that photo and strangely enough lots of the country had snow in this couple of days too!

Oh definitely! We don’t have a dog but luckily my parents live in the village, and it’s an absolute treat to take their dog out for a walk. When they go on holiday, she becomes our dog for a few days which is bliss!
