There was a time I used to shy away from having my photo taken, but over the past few years I’ve become more relaxed about it, because although I have quite a few flaws (mostly caused by chloasma, and to a lesser extent, sun), this is my face, and I don’t think I’m ageing *too badly*. I haven’t quite managed the art of the selfie – I find it difficult to know where I’m supposed to be looking – but a friend who shall remain nameless but who is REALLY good at selfies, told me you need to look at the black dot in the middle of your iPhone, so that’s what I did for this shot. And this is me, warts and all, unretouched,captured in black and white. Although admittedly I had just had my hair done.
