I have so much hair (which is why I look like Monica from Friends/a Wookie at the slightest hint of humidity), it gets tangled very quickly. (A hairdresser was once so appalled by the knots he actually gave me a comb to get them out myself. Needless to say I never went back).
Which is why I couldn’t wait to try Revlon Professional Equave Hydro Detangling shampoo and conditioner when I was offered the chance to review it. My sister and I used Revlon shampoo all through our teens as we tried to get first Dynasty then Banarama hair, so it’s a very nostalgic brand for me, and any product with the magic words ‘sold only in salons’ gets my vote anyway – because if hairdressers use it, it must be good, right?
The keratin-enriched shampoo doesn’t have much of a smell, but it lathers up well. After towel-drying I was a little disappointed to find that my hair seemed quite tangled.
But then I sprayed on the leave-in conditioner, and that’s when the magic started. Because suddenly my hair was incredibly easy to comb, and it felt gorgeous. After straightening, it looked silky smooth, even pre-serum. Not Monica. Rachel.
Verdict: Very good reasonably priced shampoo and conditioner.
