Pampering at Aveda Spa and the chance to see Disney on Ice

May 27, 2013

I don’t really have a lot of time for proper pampering, so when the lovely people from Disney on Ice asked me if I’d like to have a personal pampering session at Aveda Spa in Covent Garden of course I said yes, because Aveda is one of my favourite salons.

Aveda Spa manicureFirst of all I was given a blow dry which transformed my tangled tresses into silk, and then came the very thorough pedicure, which made my feet incredibly soft, and manicure, which shaped my nails perfectly, finished with a coat of glittery pink polish.

Cinderella and Prince CharmingAt the end of it I felt a little like a Disney princess – and Disney princesses are very much a fixture of this year’s Disney on Ice extravaganza, Dare to Dream, which opens on Boxing Day at the 02 and combines tales as old as time, including Cinderella and Snow White, with modern day princesses, including Tiana and Rapunzel. (Yes I know Christmas seems a long, long way off, but the tickets are on sale now, and they go pretty quickly. You can find out more on the Disney on Ice website.) We’ve only had a brief taste of Disney on Ice, at Disneyland Paris, but the show promises to be magical.

Now, if only I could find some little birds and mice to do the cleaning.
