I’m all in favour of teenagers having their own mobile phones – as long as they’re not too expensive, and they don’t put them in their back pocket and lose them during a parade at Disneyland Paris (this may actually have happened, no naming names). No 1 Son had a mobile phone as soon as he went to secondary school, which has proved invaluable over the years. They’re very useful for keeping in touch when they’re out and about, or if they’re on their way home from an after-school club or something, so their parents don’t fret about their whereabouts *too* much. So when we were offered the chance to review the Huawei Ascend W1 W1ndows phone, aimed at the teenage market (it retails at £129.99 on Pay As You Go), we jumped at the chance. Here then is my niece Harriet’s very thorough review of her shiny brand new mobile phone – filmed by her sibling. I think they’ve done an excellent job of putting this together, don’t you? And please, ignore the scratches on my sister’s dining room table. It’s an antique *cough*.
