NB: Since writing this post I have decided I will never visit Seaworld again. This post on Blackfish explains why.
One of my definite travel highlights last year was the trip I took to the Florida Seaworld Parks with a gaggle of giggling gorgeous mummy bloggers who I’m now proud to call friends.
This was the first time I’d actually been to any of the parks and I definitely want to return.
Here are my top 5 things to do there:
1. Visit Discovery Cove, a tropical oasis where you can snorkel with stingray, snog dolphins and ask a handsome man to carry your slushies *cough*.
2. Talk to the animals at Busch Gardens, where an Orangutan painted a picture for us, and we helped feed a herd of hungry elephants.
3. Spend a day at Aquatica, going on as many waterslides as you can/dare and laughing yourself silly.
4. Feed the sealions at Seaworld.
5. Hold the bags while your friends scream at the tops of their voices as they ride Manta.
*Have you been to to any of the Seaworld parks? What are your favourite things to do? I’d love to know.
(and a huge thank you to Seaworld for sponsoring my ticket to Cybermummy11).
[…] seems bizarre that I didn’t even know them really until we went on a blogging trip to Seaworld, Florida together. We bonded over G&Ts on the eight hour flight to Orlando and we’ve been cackling, […]
[…] you or your kids are fans of rollercoasters, then you’re really spoiled for choice at the Seaworld Parks in Florida – in fact I can still hear my friends’ screams of […]
Fabulous! Amy so wants to go there but I hate flying!! Might bite the bullet one day and take her. I went back in 1992 and remember Sea World quite well. It was the place I couldn’t walk properly because I’d burnt my legs in the sun the previous day!!!

There are many things I like about SeaWorld, feeding the sealions is not one of them
I’ve recently become a bit obsessed with Shamu cam. I’m a bit of a loser.
I’ve only been to San Diego Sea World but it was so brilliant, I loved every second of it. Can’t wait till Sam is old enough to go.
OH man, I LOVED Aquatica. Just loved it. And one day, one day I would love to take my animal loving little girl to Busch Gardens to experience the things I experienced there (‘meeting’ the gorillas, feeding the elephants, seeing the tigers up close and personal).
