This morning we had a row about wet jeans. He announced at 7am, 20 minutes before he has to leave for school, that it’s Mufti Day and as I washed all of his jeans last night (but didn’t dry them) nothing was ready. Which, I think you’ll agree, is Not My Fault. ‘You can’t go out in those, you’ll catch your death of cold,’ I said, sounding like my own mother.
It was a losing battle and I had to admit defeat.
This is one of my favourite photos of him, taken when he was slightly more willing to listen to his mum:
He has his moments though. As you can see from the card he ‘made’ for me for Mother’s Day:
I’d be lost without him, too.
*This is my entry to the Gallery and the theme this week is ‘Mother Love’.
Lovely post… and happy to hear I am not the only one losing battles!!
awww isn’t he cute. Boys are just lovely (not that I’m biased or anything) 🙂
Such a cute photo and what a lovely card!
What a beautiful card! So full of love!
What a great photo and even if he doesn’t listen I am sure he still loves you as much now as he did then!
That is a lovely card. x
Aw, that card is just gorgeous
What a lovely card, and a lovely sentiment!
Oooh nice new look blog Liz it’s my first visit!
Your post just made me get a little lump in my throat, so true x
Those good moments see us through the trials of the rest of them but sometimes they seem a long time in the coming!
I just got a bit teary. It is so sweet when I boy expresses that about his mother.
