I’m addicted to Homeland. How about you? (No spoilers)

April 9, 2012

I have no idea what’s going on, really. Who is telling the truth. Who to trust. I thought we were supposed to be wary of Brody, because he might not be a hero after all, but then we started liking him and we learned how he’d been tortured, and now we’re not sure if he’s been turned, or not (and he seemed pretty convinced that he’d done the thing that he said he’d done, but what if that was an act?) For a brief moment I wasn’t sure whether we could trust Saul. We know Carrie’s on our side. But what about Brody’s former best friend?

I’m not looking for spoilers. I simply can’t remember a TV series being this perplexing, confusing and utterly addictive since Lost. No wonder President Obama is a fan of Homeland. The cast are totally brilliant, particularly Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and Claire Danes, the writing superb. I have no idea what’s going to happen next. I just wish it was on every night.

I found myself wanting Brody to complete his mission, as it had been a cover up and children had died and also to prove to everyone that Carrie had been right!

My OH wanted to watch it and now I am the one who is addicted! Its more confusing than Lost and at least there are no random polar bears in it!

My life would be empty without Homeland. #truefact

OMG! I so agree I spend the whole time going ‘ahh’ ‘ooooo’ ‘I didn’t see that coming!’

Every week just blows me away! I shall have a big gap in my sunday nights when it ends!

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I’m obsessed with Homeland!!

I only started watching it on Saturday, when I downloaded two episodes to my iPad to watch on the train, then another two as soon as I got home because I couldn’t wait to see more!!!!

I’m already so hooked I actually dreamt about it last night. Seriously.

It’s like 24, but slicker, and tighter, and Damian Lewis is AMAZING – the way he flicks from sympathetic to menacing with a single facial expression.

    Love it!!!!

I don’t think I have ever been so confused as I have been watching this. I usually hurry to find spoilers but with Homeland, it’s just so gripping that I don’t want to Google, although I have been tempted because a week feels like an age between episodes!

I have a huge crush on Brodie – he’s about to make the Pinterest Hot Man wall – and I was so happy when I thought he was ‘good’. Now after last night’s episode, I’m not so sure.
Couldn’t agree more though. Brilliant brilliant series.

I think the fact he’s so hot is what’s making us want to believe he’s not working for the other side…

Or is it? Is Saul in fact not what he appears to be?

I agree. Really really love it. I like that all the characters seem well-rounded. Wish we could know more about Saul and his relationship with his wife, which is very touching.
