The lovely Him Up North tagged me in the Song Titles to Live Your Life By meme. Which isn’t as easy to do as it sounds. So I’ve gone for Five Songs To Live Your Life By, because the lyrics of this lot pretty much sum up my life philosophy.
Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. There’s more than a few double entendres in there, of course, but I like to think it’s also a reminder to embrace everything on offer and make the most of what you’ve got. ‘Go go go there’s no stopping me.’
Fix You by Coldplay. It’s what I do for my son, and what my parents did for me.
Whether or not you have it playing it in your head every time you have an important meeting/conversation, Ally McBeal/Bridget Jones style, you deserve some R.E.S.P.E.C.T. The Aretha Franklin kind, naturally.
I’m a great believer in karma, and I also never forget (taps side of head, Sicilian style). Bob Dylan’s Positively 4th Street is a reminder that if someone stabs you in the back (or the face), sooner or later it’ll come back to haunt them. Pity the fool, etc.
My Way, by Sinatra. I believe that you should own your mistakes and learn from them. But regrets? Nah. Life’s too short. I don’t ever want to be one of those people who says ‘I wish I’d…’ In the words of Nike *cough*, just do it.
And now I’m tagging five lovely bloggers to share their Five Songs to Live Your Life By:

Ladies, can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Brilliant and meaningful tunes! I’ll have to have a good think of this one!
