Take five bloggers, add copious quantities of tequila, Mexican food and what do you get?
A night of cackling, shrieking and some very bad singing (not from ME, obviously).
The venue was Wahaca (the Covent Garden branch), and at the table were me, Sian, Gigi, Natalie and Claire. It took lots of gossiping, several mojitos, a few tequilas (sipped not slammed), beers and many dips and chips for us to decide what to order (fortunately our waitress was very patient).
After taking a while to arrive, the food, which is based on Mexican ‘market’ or street food, was a little disappointing – my chicken burrito was a tad cold, and many of the dishes we chose seemed to taste very similar.
But the quesadillas were good, and the churros with hot chocolate sauce simply delicious – worth going back for those alone. Prices are very reasonable. And who knew there were so many different varieties of tequila *cough*? (Remember ladies, what’s said in Wahaca, stays in Wahaca).
Verdict: great venue for a night out with the girls
Shameful. You’d never catch me behaving like that . . .
And I look like I have the biggest forehead in London!!
Anyway, enough of the vanity. I had a great night! Thanks xx
