Makes me a little sad to think there are so many videos, pictures that I’ve missed of my son’s. Especially the eldest to be 25 this week.
Will have to get clicking with the granddaughter
Had to write this again as it disappeared when I posted it. i hope they both don’t turn up on here! Anyway – Yes, this makes me well up. I’m sure the music is a big contributor. Think we can all relate to how quickly children grow up, which is good but at the same time quite sad. I get very emotional when I see videos of my children when they were younger. – hearing their squeaky voices! Just like the ad really. And yes NANHM, that ad is genius. My husband and I laughed out loud when we saw it.
I think it’s great, but would fear of the whole thing getting lost in virtual reality. I think I’d be constantly backing it up to make sure it would last, and not go poof! and maybe make it into a hard copy photo album too, you know the kind they do for creative memories? Anyone been to one of those workshops… I mean whose going to power all of this to keep all these memories online…
Have you seen the one with the little boy dressed a Darth Vader trying to use ” the force” with inanimate objects to no avail- until his dad makes the car headlights flash at him. And he is clearly astonished even though you can’t see the kid’s face. It’s brilliant. Even brought a tear to my husband’s eye! Though just a tear mind! x
Yes this does make me well up. Think most of us can relate to how quickly kids grow. Whenever I look a pictures of my children when they were young I get very emotional! I’m so wet!!! And yes, NANHM, that advert is genius. My husband and I laughed out loud when we saw it.
usually I’m a big weeper when it comes to schmaltzy ads, but this one didn’t really affect me. I think because it made me think, oh god, should I be writing my daughter letters like this?
Yup, certainly does. Thanks for sharing it – I never watch ads on the TV so every now and again I miss out on a gem!
I didn’t just cry, I HOWLED!

I mentioned this on Twitter on Saturday night. Absolutely genius idea!
Bit of a lump in the throat I must admit. Kind of think it’s a bit heavy for an advert though! My humble opinion!
I hadn’t seen that before. It’s sweet.
Yes, every time! My kids have started staring at me when it comes on now…..then mocking me!
Yep!
Erm, might have …
Yup :’-)
