Seeing the world through my child’s eyes is one of my greatest joys.
I’m lucky to have been a travel editor on several magazines, so I’ve been able to take No 1 Son on all kinds of amazing trips to destinations including America, the Caribbean and Europe. We also have family in New Zealand and Australia, and have been able to visit those incredible countries.
As well as all the fun stuff like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, we’ve been on lots of cultural trips. He has a keen interest in history, languages and the classics and I’m certain that this has been nurtured by all the places we’ve visited. Hearing him translate Latin on ruins in Rome or speak German in Switzerland is just magical.
I hope that our travelling has given him a lifelong love of adventure and he gets to experience everything the world has to offer.
*This is my entry to the Gallery and the theme this week is ‘travel’.

What a lucky boy and what enormous pleasure you must have watching him grow up and take everything in. An amazing start to life

Love that Liz. I think giving out kids that taste for adventure and learning is a wonderful thing
Wow what great experiences and opportunities! Now if I could just fit all our stuff in the car (3 travel cots, double buggy, single buggy to name but a few!) then that would be a good start. not many places caters for so many so young. But they grow so things will change. I hope to get to see some of the spectacular places you have. 🙂
