Cats’ eyes

November 28, 2012

As I’m sure you know, taking photos of cats (or indeed, any kind of animal) isn’t easy, because they have an annoying habit of moving, or closing their eyes just when you press the button. Or maybe that’s just our pets. But anyway, I was pretty pleased with these two shots, taken the Christmas before last, and as the theme of this week’s Gallery is ‘eyes’, they seem to fit.

This is Poppy, who we lost last summer. She had the most wonderful yellow-green eyes, and I love this photo because it was taken before she became sick.

And this is Sparta. I love the way the green of her eyes matches the tree and Christmas tree. She hisses when you pick her up but she’s quite affectionate really.

Lovely pictures. Cats can be a bit tricky can’t they and generally disposed to doing what you might want them too.

Pretty kitties 🙂 I do love a pure black cat; they remind me of my much loved childhood moggies. And they only moult in one colour, unlike my tabby-and-white!

Beautiful cats. My 3 cats are quite bad for closing their eyes as I point the camera at them.

Ah nice. You are right though, it’s very hard to get a decent picture of cats’ eyes

Cats are so difficult to photograph and their superiority look often makes them look quite mean, you’ve done well to capture these as sweeties.

Cat’s eyes always make me think they are full of mischief!
