I do like a serum, especially an anti-ageing one that promises all sorts of amazing things for my skin. Bioeffect EGF serum comes in a tiny, expensive looking glass bottle with dropper which gives it that all important laboratory-feel.
The science bit is that EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor, a substance which occurs naturally in human skin and has the ability to speed up the rate of cell turnover within the skin – which should make your complexion look brighter and less wrinkled.
So does it work? Well, my skin definitely does look brighter. I don’t have a massive problem with lines on my forehead but the laughter lines around my eyes and mouth appear less obvious. Uma Thurman is said to be a fan of this Icelandic beauty brand, and if it’s good enough for her, it’s definitely good enough for me.
