He’s fantastically complicated, this boy of mine. Like that proverbial box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.
He’s funny, with an incredible sense of humour. He can hold a conversation on any topic. He has fantastic taste in music. His favourite expression at the moment is ‘I don’t care.’ But I know he does.
Saying I’m proud of this boy is an understatement. He isn’t always easy, and he has a lot to learn. But I know he’ll go far.
*This is my entry to the Gallery – the theme this week was ‘something you’re proud of’.
What a beautiful post about your wonderful boy. It isn’t always easy being a Mum & I’m discovering that the teenage years are quite possibly the hardest, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
Lovely post and photo. I remember the I don’t care stage very well lol!
That’s a great picture and a lovely post. Our kids really are pretty incredible.

Lovely post. And he looks like you, which I think is nice.
Such lovely words about your handsome boy – you have every reason to be proud x
Aaahh such a lovely post, you have every reason to be proud x
He sounds like a fantastic and interesting young man. I cannot imagine my boy ever being that grown up! x x
I like this post, first one that says it isn’t always easy. How old is he?
Awww, what a lovely post. Very honest, but heart-warming at the same time. I think it’s wonderful to read all the posts today from proud parents. x
So great to read people taking this opportunity in the gallery to say how proud they are of their children. We give them our all and just hope they’ll grow into individuals we can be proud of. Lovely to read that you have such a special connection with your son. The path of growing up, like the path of parenthood, isn’t all smooth going – for anyone – and it’s so great to stop for a moment and think, ‘Wow! I feel proud!’ and rightly so!
