My parents were together for over 20 years, and while their relationship was Taylor/Burtonesque at times, with some fiery rows, the one thing my sister and I were always certain of was their absolute and unconditional love for us.
Dad was very good at photography, and I love these photos he took of me and my sister. They give a glimpse into our wonderfully carefree childhood.
And it’s exactly the kind of childhood we’ve tried to give our own kids. Whether they appreciate it yet, or not.
(My dad made the play caravan for us himself – this photo was originally on a slide which is why the ‘D’ has come out the wrong way round.)
