I can still remember the expression on your face when you woke up on Christmas morning and saw your first Big Boy Bicycle in the sitting room. You clasped your little hands together and said ‘is that for me?’ and then you kept putting them over your mouth and gasping.
You couldn’t wait to take it for a spin – the gift tag was still on it – and Dad and I were SO proud of you, riding your bike along the pavement. It was a while before we took the trainer wheels off but when we did you were a natural. You have always been able to do anything you’ve set out to do, if you put your mind to it.
Tomorrow is a big day for you, but Dad and I will be there to support you and no matter what the outcome, we’ll be proud of you. You make us proud every day.
(I know you say you don’t read this blog but I think you might look sometimes).
Love,
Mum x
