I’m very excited because tomorrow I’m flying to Belfast so I can see some of the sights of Northern Ireland for the first time. Northern Ireland was one of the places on my wanderlust wishlist for 2013, along with Japan. Sadly I’m going to have to put Japan on my list for 2014… I sort of work on the principle that if you write it down, it might *possibly* happen. So here, in no particular order, is my 2014 travel wishlist – the places I want to visit/hope to visit/plan to visit next year. I’d love to know yours.
1. Japan – I just want to visit Tokyo and Mount Fuji and see the cherry blossom and eat proper sushi. The whole shebang. So does No 1 Son, so I’ll see if I can persuade him to come with me.
2. Alaska – for the bears and the whales. And the glaciers. I’m hoping to do this on a cruise.
3. New York – I haven’t been to the Big Apple for some years now and I’m longing to return.
That’ll do to be going on with, I think. I’ll let you know how far I get 🙂
Oh there are so many places I would love to go to! My top 3 would have to be New York, Canada and Lapland (I would love to see the Aurora Borealis)
Now, where’s that winning lottery ticket?!
inspiring !
If I write it down it might possibly happen? Ok then……
Actually I am very happy that in 2014 I will be going on one of the trips I have been wanting to for years and years – a motorcycle trip around the West of America; California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona. I am excited like a school girl – come on June!!
Apart from that we have a week booked in Finland and are hoping to hop over to France where I haven’t explored since I was a teenager. I think I’ll put my other travel dreams in hold until 2015!
There’s a few which are high up my wishlist which are going to have to stay on hold for now, I think, until my daughter’s a bit older – Burma, Cambodia and Vietnam for starters.
But I’d like to explore a bit beyond the US and Europe with her, although New York is tempting, some beach time in Turkey and I’m still dying to go to Granada.
Then maybe Israel again, for longer than a weekend this time, while Explore does some tours suitable for toddlers including Morocco which is tempting.
Hmmm, that’s really got me thinking!
