Salon review: Beauty at the House of Rush Piccadilly
Many of you will be familiar with Rush hair salons – they’ve been around for about 18 years now, and have very handy locations. So I was delighted to be invited along to experience beauty treatments at the flagship salon, the House of Rush Piccadilly. The hair salon is absolutely stunning and very glamorous, two floors of chandeliers, gold, and white marble – but with a modern twist.
The beauty salon is reached behind a magical-looking black door, and is unexpectedly large and elegant – the ambience is immediately calming. There are treatment areas for pedicures and manicures with a lxurious purple and grey colour scheme, and facials on offer include Elemis and Bliss.
I had decided to have waxing and threading so I was shown into a private treatment room, where my therapist made me feel instantly at home by laughing at all my jokes. She told me she was using hot Lycon wax with tea-tree oil, and I can honestly say it didn’t hurt one bit. Afterwards she deftly threaded my brows so that I looked as though I’d had a mini facelift (not kidding).
Prices are reasonable, considering you’re on Piccadilly – waxing starts at £18 for half a leg. If you’re looking for a luxurious, glamorous salon in the heart of London but don’t want to pay a fortune for your treatments, Beauty at the House of Rush is an excellent option.
