I’ve been a family travel expert for the past 15 years; not just travelling the world with No 1 Son and my niece, experiencing a whole range of family holidays from cruises to city breaks, chalets to luxury hotels, but also working as a professional travel journalist and editor, commissioning, editing and writing family travel features and news stories for some of the UK’s best known magazines, newspapers and websites and building close relationships within the travel industry, giving me a unique insight into family travel trends. I am also a family cruises expert and in my day job I’m the Editor of the UK’s leading cruise holidays magazine.
I’m proud that The Mum Blog was named as one of Cision’s Top 10 UK Family Travel Blogs for 2014 and for the past two years I’ve been a Royal Mums ambassador for Royal Caribbean International. I’m also honoured to have been a finalist four times in the ‘travel’ category of the Brit Mums ‘Brilliance in Blogging’ awards.
I’m always happy to consider new partnerships and proposals (you can find out more information on working with The Mum Blog here) but please note I take my responsibility as a family travel expert very seriously and would never recommend or endorse anything I don’t feel completely comfortable with. As a key family travel influencer my first responsibility is always to my readers and followers. I do consider press trip invitations but because I work full-time and do a lot of travelling for work my free time is limited, so regrettably I can only accept a small percentage of the opportunities I’m offered.
